How Time Flies

I cannot believe how quickly time can just fly by. It seems like Christmas was just yesterday and now it is Easter. My little girls don’t fully understand the Easter holiday, since it isn’t celebrated too much here. Kevin, coming from the west, brought this tradition to my life. Now we are bringing it into our children’s lives. They love the decorating of eggs and the baskets of candy. I rather enjoy the holiday too, hiding the eggs for them to find, picking out candy and decorating the basket. It’s a lot of fun!

Still, the time is just flying by. For me, the years usually seem to take forever. However, the past several months have come and gone before I’ve even known what to do with them. I’m getting so little done around the house, while still getting a lot done. I’m doing the usual cleaning and rearranging of rooms. The personal things I’ve been wanting to get done though, have taken the back seat though.

Things like fan listings, blog posts, picture taking, tweeting, and just days out shopping. All those little things I enjoy, I just haven’t had the time for. I’m not sure what I’ve been doing instead. I only know that what I’ve been doing, hasn’t included any of the listed. It seems like the hours are more like minutes and the days, more like hours. They pass by so very quickly with so little getting done. So much time is wasted.

Please, don’t misunderstand. I adore taking care of the house work and taking care of my family. I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. No riches or diamonds could make me happy then what I do for my family does. I simply mean, that I wish to have some of my own time, for myself to do what I desire. The time I’m taking now to blog, is so relaxing and enjoyable. I’m doing this instead of washing the dishes that need to be done.

Let me add one thing, I do enjoy that both of my little girls are in the education system now. Allicia starts her first year of elementary school this April. I cannot believe that she’s five years old. She’ll be six at the end of October. She is getting so big, so quickly! Kimiko starts her first year of kindergarten this April as well. She’s going to be three in June. I really just can not believe they’re both getting so big. It was like just yesterday they were new born babies in my arms. Now they’re both in schooling and walking and talking and…. it’s phenomenal to me.

Allicia is very nervous about leaving kindergarten, but I am sure that she will do just fine in elementary. She is a very smart little girl. She has already displayed this so many times. Kimiko is excited about kindgarten. She is excited about the idea of making friends to play with and new toys and learning. Which I’m glad, because I love to see her happy. I remember when Allicia first start kindergarten. She cried and begged me to take her home. It was so hard for me to leave her there like that! Kevin was such a big help with this. I’m not good at dropping the children off at school, especially when they do not want to go. I give in to whatever my little girls want. I cannot make myself say no to them. Kevin is able to though.

I want my children to be happy and successful. I want them to do their very best. I will always be so proud of them both.
